34 Weeks 5 Days…

Into my pregnancy!  I hadn’t realized that I took a picture at this stage while I was pregnant with Sam too.  Here’s a side-by-side comparison of the differences (and boy, are there some!).

Funny Samism

Monday, 6 July 2009 17:15 by Meri

We saw an ambulance today go by with lights et al.  Sam asked what it was so I was trying to tell her it was for people with boo-boos.  Then she started whining and tearing up, whilst holding her leg going, "oooh boo boo *sniffle*."  I tried to say it was for BIG boo-boos, but no dice.

Luckily she saw a cat and was done with the ambulance.  :)

Three More Months…

Thursday, 2 July 2009 18:14 by Meri

And Samantha will turn 2 years old.  Many of her friends have long passed that milestone – it’s pretty neat to see what is coming around the bend.  Here are some recent pictures of her “being Sam and doing Sam things!”

Sam is really enjoying coloring now and asks to do it everyday!

She is also learning to dress herself (yes, both her shirt and shorts are around her neck OVER her pjs).

We found a “Dora the Explorer” tent on sale at Babies R Us – huge hit!  With Daddy, not so much, ha ha.

If turn your back on a toddler…

Thursday, 25 June 2009 13:58 by Meri
  • You can expect some sort of chaos , especially at lunch time.  Today’s adventure – Sam + yogurt = early trip to the pool :)

If you look carefully, you can see the purple yogurt all over her face, hands, and eventually, her hair.  Even better still – it’s toddler yogurt so the fat immediately crusts over and gives her a purple shell.

Strawberry Picking

Friday, 8 May 2009 19:19 by Meri

Today I took Sam strawberry picking at Hall Family Farm for a Charlotte Mommies outing.  I really wish I had gotten a picture of her lovely attire but you’ll have to use your imagination… picture a Hurricanes jersey just long enough that you doubt she’s wearing any other clothes, white flowered sunglasses, and a hot pink cap worn backwards.  So stinkin’ cute!

”We” picked two pounds of strawberries!  Really it was me and another mommy’s son.  Samantha a lot of time saying “Ew” to the strawberries, bugs, and mud.  Afterwards we grabbed two fresh strawberry smoothies and she hit up the play area to hang out with her friends.  Next up – bake something yummy!
