One Month!

Monday, 21 September 2009 18:00 by meri

Colby is one month old now!  This has been the fastest month of my life, seriously.  Here’s my (our) little man then and now:

I think he’s a little happier now :)  and growing like a weed!  At his two week appointment he was already up a full pound from birth (to 9lbs) and I forget how much he grew height-wise, 1/2 inch maybe?  Kid seriously eats all day long!

Matthews Alive – September 5, 2009

Monday, 21 September 2009 17:49 by meri

Saturday, September 5th we decided to hoof it out to Matthews, NC for their annual “Matthews Alive” Festival.  We really had only been to Matthews to meet with our realtor (Laurie Kirby) during house shopping and even, we never really went there.  It is so cute!  Very small town-ish with all the big city needs right next door.

Anyways.  Samantha had a banner day.  They had a full carnival and a craft fair set up in the streets of Matthews.  It was a day of firsts for her – first pony ride and first carnival ride (excluding the carousel).  Of course she LOVED it and was lucky enough to ride each ride twice :)

And this is what Colby did all afternoon:

Meet Colby!

Sunday, 23 August 2009 11:00 by meri

Colby Ryan joined our little family on Thursday, August 20th at 6:05pm.  He is the cutest little man in the whole world (if I do say so myself).  To keep it clean & simple, it was a very easy induction, labor, and delivery.  I’d say it was quick, but it took about a week :-)  (8-20 was actually my second induction, the first one on 8-12 didn’t work).  Anyways, here are the goods – meet Colby Ryan Faulkner!

Workin’ at the Carwash

Tuesday, 7 July 2009 21:33 by Meri

Sunday I got the best treat – a carwash!  Daddy and Sam went to town and cleaned the entire car, top to bottom and inside and out.  Nothing looks better than a freshly washed Meri-mobile :)
